What attracted us to this property

I love Giudecca!....a really relaxing pace with good restaurants, three major hotels with fab facilities, and  boat yard close to this house. Only a 2 minute  vaporetto ride across  to Zattere or 5mins to San Marco.  It's perfect

Giudecca

Giudecca is considered an integral part of Venice, although in fact it is a separate island, yet it is the closest island to the centre and can be reached by boat in only two minutes. It is primarily a residential area, with a population of around 3,000 people. Historically it had many villas with gardens, as well as a convent or two, and was also infamous for its more picaresque life. Casanova was no stranger to Giudecca. Its greatest monument is the Redentore Church, designed by Andrea Palladio, and the Tre Oci foundation – a centre for photographic studies and exhibitions. The Giudecca is also home to the famous Cipriani Hotel and Harry’s Dolci, as well as variety of rustic yet delicious little restaurants, many on the waterfront - quite simply lunch heaven with the best view in Venice.
